About Me

I live in beautiful Western Massachusetts with my husband, four greyhounds, a beagle and one cat in the house where I grew up.

I earned my bachelor of arts degree from the University of Lowell (now UMass Lowell) and have worked as an elementary school art teacher, a business writer, a sports photographer, and an artist. I have also earned an advanced certificate from the London Art College specializing in pet portraiture. As a writer and an artist, I like to think that I am both visual and articulate; two skills that serve me well in working with reporters' transcripts.

Being able to work from home was a very important part of my decision to work as a scopist. The peaceful surroundings allow me to give full attention to my work, and I will produce a transcript on which you will be proud to put your name.

I use the latest version of Case CATalyst and a variety of resources including, but not limited to, Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters to Punctuation, Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, Comma Sense, Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation.

If you would like to see a sample of my work, I invite you to send me 10 to 20 pages and I will scope them for you free of charge. It will give both of us a chance to see if we can work well together. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
